B week! We mostly read books and did activities about bears, berries, and buttons.
Books we read this weeke were:
Jamberry
Going on a Bear Hunt
Blueberries For Sal
Bear Cutting Practice
Along with gluing and puzzle making
Sorting Buttons
Drawing the other half of the bear
Bear Counting
Matching the bear to his house
Ending the week with yummy bear claws!
The boys also found a toad in our backyard! We NEVER find anything because of our dog. We were excited and observed it a while before letting it go.
The lifecycle and sketches. We talked about the lifecycle and where they live when tadpoles and in winter. The boys determined that this one was a girl beauce she was silent the whole time ;)
Then the little gal was ready to go.
It was great fun!

Those bear claws look yummy!
And I love how your boys found the toad. I love it when we find something alive that we can watch for a few minutes. We had an orb weaver spider lay her eggs inside of our screened patio and there are more orb weavers than we can count. We love to go onto the patio to look at their amazing webs and every few days we will catch one to watch for a few minutes.
i nominated you for a blog award. i love your blog and all your homeschool info. i am in my first year of homeschooling (pre-k) and i read what you do often.
check it out!!!
